Working at Foulds

                                I have worked at Foulds since 1987, first as a part-time teacher, then class teacher, Senior Manager, Deputy and now as      Headteacher.  We have a strong team here, many of whom have also worked at Foulds for many, many years who have helped create the wonderful ethos where people feel supported to improve their practice.  We are proud of our record of developing staff and creating an environment where people just don't want to leave!  We have several teachers who joined us as NQTs (Newly Qualified Teachers) and who developed their practice here to become part of our very effective Senior Leadership Team - including our excellent Deputy, Mrs Ingall (currently on maternity leave).  We have five teachers who have taught here since the 1990s, have gone away to have children and come back to teach - some of them have even made sure that their children attended Foulds.  Many of our support staff have also been with us for decades, developing their skills and sharing their expertise with new support staff and new teachers. We also love to welcome new staff who bring with them a breath of fresh air!  If you have a positive attitude to learning, enjoy new challenges and like working as part of a team, then Foulds could be the perfect school for you.

        Teaching assistant, level 2


        22 hours per week, term time only (hours to be arranged)


        Salary from £10,658 per annum (Grade D): term time only (39 weeks p/a) 22 hours per week.


        We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our school as a member of our support staff team, to work with a pupil in the juniors who has an Education, Health and Care Plan.


        The following qualities will be essential in this post:


        Excellent literacy and Numeracy skills.

        Experience of working with children in the primary phase

        Experience of working with children who have SEN

        Sound understanding of the skills required to support children in their learning

        Good interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
